Jonah Hill has shared a major life update, revealing that he and his wife Olivia Millar left Los Angeles three years ago to raise their children in a small town in San Diego.
During a live taping of the SmartLess podcast in Los Angeles on April 25, Hill explained that the decision came after they had their first child. "When we had our first kid, we moved out there three years ago," he said. "I wanted to leave L.A. and raise a family outside of Los Angeles."
The 42-year-old actor described his current home as "a very small town in San Diego" and praised his neighbors for treating him like a normal person. "They never treat me weird or ask me about my job or anything," he added.
While Hill appreciates his new life away from Hollywood, he still looks back fondly on growing up in Los Angeles in the 1990s. "L.A. was such a cool place to grow up in the '90s because you could go skateboard downtown or you could sneak into a movie premiere or go sneak into a comedy club and see Chris Rock," he reflected.
This revelation follows Hill's recent confirmation that he and Olivia quietly married and welcomed their second child. He told Martin Scorsese in an Interview Magazine article, "I have two kids now. The only thing that could ever separate me from my family is the editing room."
Hill's move mirrors those of other celebrities who have left Hollywood, such as Antonio Banderas, Ellen DeGeneres, Tyra Banks, and Eva Longoria, each seeking a simpler life away from the spotlight.
