Nearly two weeks after Denise Jonas revealed she had suffered a basal ganglia stroke—a condition that impacted her cognitive thinking, speech, and reasoning—her sons Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas have shared a heartfelt update on her progress.
In an exclusive interview with E! News, the trio expressed immense pride in their mother's courage. "She went through quite a journey, and we're proud of her that she feels comfortable talking about it," Joe said. "I'm sure that will encourage a lot of other people out there."
Kevin echoed the sentiment, calling their mom "our superhero" and emphasizing the lifelong example she has set. "She's a very strong woman, and someone that's amazing to look up to our whole life," he added. "We try to celebrate her every time we're with her or away from her."
Ahead of Mother's Day, the brothers also reflected on the support of their wives—Danielle Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas—and the traditions they carry forward. "Breakfast in bed has always, from when we were kids to now, it's always good," Kevin noted. While Nick admitted their cooking attempts weren't always successful, he quipped, "We can make a mean smoothie."
The Jonas Brothers have partnered with Almond Breeze in honor of Mother's Day, a brand their mom has long kept in her fridge. "She makes a Texas sheet cake that would be even better with Almond Breeze," they shared, adding that their fondest memories involve "sitting on the couch laughing and just enjoying one another."
Despite busy schedules, the brothers remain committed to celebrating their mother's resilience and love. As Nick put it, "It's incredible to have that support system going back to our childhood with our mother."
