Jalen Hurts skipping A.J. Brown's wedding may not be the drama it's being made out to be. Former NFL star Julio Jones, who also missed the ceremony, says there’s likely a simple explanation.
In an exclusive interview at LAX, Jones — a former teammate of both Brown and Hurts — urged fans not to read into the quarterback’s absence from the May 16 wedding in Laguna Beach.
“I feel like these are high profile guys, right?” Jones said. “So Jalen probably had things that he had to go do, obligations that he had to fulfil.”
Jones himself was invited but couldn't attend, despite being close friends with the groom. The wedding, which united Brown with Kelsey Riley, sparked speculation online about a possible rift between Brown and Hurts, who have been friends since high school and is even godfather to Brown’s daughter. However, Jones insists that real life is far less dramatic than internet theories suggest.
