Kaitlyn Bristowe has publicly addressed swirling rumors of a feud with fellow reality star Jessi Draper, clarifying that a simple social media misunderstanding sparked the false narrative.
In an Instagram video posted on April 21, Bristowe expressed disbelief at the situation. "I can't believe this is a thing right now," she said, explaining it began when she shared a family photo with a caption about being happy despite online negativity. After a troll commented, "People who are happy don't have to tell us they're happy," Bristowe noted that Draper actually left a supportive comment on the post.
Confusion arose when the original post was deleted. Bristowe reposted it with a message challenging the troll to repeat their comment, and she tagged Draper to ensure she saw the supportive message. However, fans misinterpreted the tag, believing Bristowe was identifying Draper as the troll.
"Somehow, this got turned into that I have beef with her," Bristowe stated. "It's just crazy how people run with things."
To dispel the rumors, Bristowe shared screenshots of friendly direct messages between her and Draper, where they laughed off the miscommunication. "I feel like people are so feral on the internet," Bristowe added. "They're just foaming at the mouth for women to be fighting. Whose side are we taking when we don't know anything about it?"
In her post's caption, the former Dancing With the Stars contestant emphasized there was no conflict. "Instead of milking it like others would, I’m letting you know it’s a nothing burger," she wrote. "Love you Jessi."
Draper, 33, confirmed their amicable relationship by commenting, "Hahahah ILY," putting the speculation to rest.
