Kim Delaney Settles Hit-and-Run Lawsuit Over 2022 Motorcycle Crash

Actress Kim Delaney, best known for her role on "NYPD Blue," has reached a settlement in a hit-and-run lawsuit filed against her. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Delaney resolved the case with Dzhamal Badalov, who alleged that she struck him with her car while he was on his motorcycle in 2022.

Badalov claimed he was stopped at a red light when Delaney rear-ended him. He stated that bystanders initially prevented her from leaving, but she then called someone who advised her to flee, and she drove off.

The lawsuit also alleged that Delaney appeared intoxicated, with witnesses saying she was driving erratically. However, Delaney denied being drunk, telling a judge earlier this year that she left the scene because she feared for her safety due to her "perceived celebrity status."

The settlement is unconditional. A formal dismissal must be filed within 45 days of the May 19 settlement agreement, and Delaney is scheduled for a final status conference on June 2.
