King Charles III and Queen Camilla concluded the final full day of their state visit to the United States with a busy schedule in New York City on Wednesday.
The royal couple began the day by paying their respects at the 9/11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan. Later, they split up for separate engagements: Queen Camilla visited the New York Public Library to promote child literacy, reading from A. A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh to a group of children. Meanwhile, King Charles traveled to Harlem, where he toured a community organization and even fed chickens.
The day ended with a celebration of the King's Trust charity's 50th anniversary at Rockefeller Center. Global ambassador Lionel Richie spoke at the event, honoring the charity's work supporting young people.
The visit marked a historic trip for the monarch, who also addressed the U.S. Congress and attended a state dinner hosted by President Donald Trump earlier in the week.
