The New York Knicks survived a nail-biter against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, securing a narrow victory to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals as the series shifts to New York.
Jalen Brunson led the way with 28 points and 7 assists, while Julius Randle added 24 points and 10 rebounds. The Knicks had to withstand a late rally from the Spurs, who cut the lead to two points with under a minute remaining. However, a关键 defensive stop and two free throws from Brunson sealed the win.
"We knew they would come out fighting," said Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau. "But our guys showed incredible resilience. We're excited to go home with the lead, but the job is not done."
Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.
