In a recent guest appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," singer Kris Lawrence addressed speculations that he and former partner Katrina Halili have rekindled their romantic relationship. The rumors arose after the pair posted photos together on social media, sparking curiosity among fans.
"No, we have not. Hindi kami nagkabalikan, Tito Boy," Kris clarified during the Friday interview.
Despite the denial, Kris expressed gratitude for the opportunity to spend time with Katrina, noting that it has benefitted their daughter, Katie. "But like I’ve said, I’m really, really grateful for this time that we have together because honestly, when we became okay this year 2026, Katie has been probably the best that I’ve seen her," he said. "Her smile has been more genuine. ‘Yung kilos niya, mas gumanda. You could just tell that she’s so much happier."
Kris described their current relationship as co-parenting focused on supporting their daughter. "We’re doing this all for Katie. Where the road leads, we don’t know. But at least it’s fun," he added.
Host Boy Abunda also asked about their recent trip to El Nido, which Katrina described as a "reset of their friendship." She explained that before Kris moved to the United States, their interactions were limited. Now, they spend more quality time together. "Ngayon, nag-uusap kami, magkasama kami talaga nang matagal," she said.
Kris emphasized that their social media interactions are genuine and unscripted. "It’s not scripted. Everything that is rolling is like reality," the R&B singer stated.
When asked directly if they are both single, both Kris and Katrina answered, "Yes po." Katrina added, "Sa ngayon nag-e-enjoy lang kami sa company ng bawat isa."
In a vlog from February, Kris had expressed openness to getting back together with Katrina if they were both single in 10 years. The couple had Katie in 2012 and separated two years later. In 2023, Katrina spoke about their co-parenting arrangement, saying they are "mas OK kami as friends."
