The Los Angeles Lakers outlasted the Houston Rockets in an overtime battle on Friday night, securing a 110-104 victory and taking a commanding 3-0 lead in their first-round playoff series.
LeBron James delivered a triple-double with 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Anthony Davis added 28 points and 14 boards. The Lakers trailed by as many as 12 points in the third quarter before rallying to force overtime.
"We just kept fighting," said James. "We knew they'd come out aggressive, but we trust each other and found a way."
The Rockets were led by Jalen Green's 35 points, but they struggled to contain Davis in the paint and committed costly turnovers in the extra period.
Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday in Houston, where the Lakers will aim to complete the sweep.
