England captain Leah Williamson has signed a new contract with Women's Super League side Arsenal, extending her two-decade association with the club.
The 29-year-old defender, who joined Arsenal's academy at age nine, has inked a two-year deal, according to BBC Sport. Williamson has spent her entire senior career with the Gunners, making over 250 appearances since her debut in 2014.
"Everyone at the club looks forward to Leah's continued leadership and performances here at Arsenal," the club said in a statement.
Williamson has been instrumental in Arsenal's success, helping the team win the WSL, two FA Cups, four League Cups, the 2024-25 Champions League, and the inaugural Women's Champions Cup in 2026. She made her England debut in 2018 and has earned 67 caps, captaining the Lionesses to consecutive Women's Euros titles in 2022 and 2025.
A knee injury sustained during Euro 2025 has limited her to four league appearances this season, part of a series of leg injuries that have plagued her campaign. Despite this, the club has shown confidence in her recovery and leadership.
Williamson is the fourth player to commit to Arsenal in recent weeks, joining Kim Little, Stina Blackstenius, and Steph Catley in signing new deals.
