LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary with a trip to Cabo, but the getaway was bittersweet. The Grammy winner revealed on Instagram that the couple faced "very tense, heart wrenching things happening at home with family" just before their anniversary.
"It's been a different anniversary, one filled with tears and worry, but in between, there were moments of laughter and deep gratitude for this love of ours," Rimes wrote on April 23.
While she did not specify the issues, Rimes emphasized the strength of her bond with Cibrian. "Day by day, we walk hand in hand through the rollercoaster of life," she continued. "We've been through so much in our 15 years as husband and wife. We know how to ride the waves, hold each other in times of need, mend what needs mending."
The couple, who met on the set of the 2009 film Northern Lights while both were married to other people, have faced public scrutiny. But Rimes told E! News in February that they've "evolved so much." She noted that raising Cibrian's sons, Mason and Jake, now 22 and 18, has helped them settle into "a very calm life."
"We love being around each other. We laugh a lot," Rimes said. "And he's just a good guy. He really is. So, 15 years is wild, but so far, so good."
