Leinster overcame a late Toulon surge to secure a 29-25 victory in the Investec Champions Cup semi-final at the Aviva Stadium, booking their place in a fourth final in five seasons.
The Irish province looked in control for most of the match, building an 18-point lead through tries from Jack Conan, Josh van der Flier, Garry Ringrose, and captain Caelan Doris, plus three conversions and a penalty from Harry Byrne. However, Toulon roared back in the final 15 minutes with tries from Baptiste Serin and Gael Drean, cutting the deficit to four points. Leinster held firm under immense pressure to avoid a repeat of last year's shock semi-final loss to Northampton.
Captain Caelan Doris praised the team's resilience: "You know a team like Toulon will up things at some stage. Massive effort from everyone to reach another final."
Leinster will face the winner of Sunday's semi-final between Bordeaux-Begles and Bath in the final in Bilbao.
