Former heavyweight boxing champion Deontay Wilder is facing explosive legal trouble outside the ring. A newly filed lawsuit accuses the boxer of repeatedly assaulting his ex-fiancée's son over an eight-year period—allegations that Wilder's legal team vehemently denies.

The lawsuit, brought forward by Kerron Swift—the son of Wilder's ex-fiancée, Telli Swift—alleges that he endured severe physical abuse while living under Wilder's roof between 2016 and 2024.

Court documents detail a series of chilling incidents during Swift's childhood and teenage years. In one alleged encounter when Swift was just 13 years old, he claims Wilder slapped him inside a vehicle with such force that his head slammed into the car's interior, leaving him disoriented. Another accusation from 2019 states the "Bronze Bomber" whipped Swift with a belt, resulting in visible bruising across his body.

The most harrowing allegation detailed in the filing stems from a 2022 altercation. According to the lawsuit, a then-16-year-old Swift was grabbed by the throat, lifted off his feet, slammed against a wall, and tossed onto a table "like a ragdoll." Swift stated that during the terrifying outburst, he genuinely feared for his life. The legal documents note that his mother, Telli Swift, allegedly took photographs of the contusions and abrasions on her son's neck and throat after Wilder left the scene.

Attempting to establish a pattern of violent behavior, the lawsuit also references Wilder's controversial public persona, specifically pointing to his infamous past comments about wanting to catch "a body" on his professional boxing record.

Wilder's camp is aggressively pushing back against the disturbing narrative. An attorney representing the boxer dismissed the allegations entirely, labeling the lawsuit's claims as not only completely untrue but also highly "suspicious."
