Rapper Lil Tjay wasted no time lashing out at fellow artist Offset upon his release from a Florida jail on Tuesday, unleashing a heated tirade captured on video by waiting media.
Tjay, who had been arrested for misdemeanor disorderly conduct related to an alleged fight, walked out of the Broward County Sheriff's Office to a crowd of cameras. In a clip recorded by NBC Miami, the visibly agitated rapper denied any involvement in Offset's shooting while hurling a sharp accusation.
"He ratted me out," Tjay declared, calling Offset a "rat" in explicit terms.
According to police reports from the Seminole Police Department, the altercation Tjay was allegedly involved in occurred just before Offset was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Offset sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was later seen in video footage outside the hospital, smoking a cigarette in a hospital gown.
Tjay's arrest came with a $500 bond, and his mug shot showed him grinning despite the circumstances. His release provided the platform for his explosive comments, marking a dramatic escalation in the ongoing saga between the two hip-hop figures.
