Georgia authorities have arrested David Landsman, the boyfriend of reality TV personality Lindsie Chrisley, on a felony assault charge after an alleged violent altercation.
Woodstock Police booked Landsman into Cherokee County Jail on one count of aggravated assault-strangulation. Law enforcement sources indicate the incident unfolded when Chrisley confronted Landsman about a falsehood, sparking a heated argument. According to these sources, when Chrisley attempted to leave the situation, Landsman allegedly "went berserk." Officers responding to the scene reportedly observed visible injuries on Chrisley.
"This is a serious domestic violence case involving strangulation, which is a high-risk indicator for future lethal violence," a legal expert commented, emphasizing the gravity of the charge.
The arrest comes just weeks after Landsman posted a photograph on social media showing Chrisley's hand adorned with an engagement ring, tagging her father, Todd Chrisley, to request his blessing. However, sources clarify the couple was not formally engaged.
This development adds another layer to the complex family dynamics surrounding the Chrisleys. Lindsie Chrisley and her father, the star of "Chrisley Knows Best," have been estranged for years following Todd Chrisley's conviction for tax evasion and conspiracy to commit bank fraud. While Todd Chrisley has publicly suggested his daughter cooperated with federal investigators, Lindsie has consistently denied any involvement in the case.
As of now, online jail records show that bond has not yet been set for David Landsman. The case remains under investigation by local authorities.
