Nic Vansteenberghe, a star from season seven of Love Island USA, has shared an update on his friendships with fellow cast members. In an exclusive interview with E! News, he revealed that he remains close with three people from the show: Pepe Garcia Gonzalez, Chris Seeley, and winner Bryan Arenales. Of course, he also mentioned his girlfriend, Olandria Carthen, whom he met on the show.
Nic and Olandria have been dating for nearly a year, but their anniversary is a bit confusing since they were filming in Fiji without phones and only coupled up toward the end. "I think we count our one year, maybe, the first challenge we'll count it," Nic said. "I don't think we knew what day it was." He joked they might have "four one-years."
Looking ahead, Nic has advice for contestants of season eight, which starts June 2. "Make sure your family is ready for it—not just yourself," he told E!. "They're way more involved than you would think. Also your friends from home." He also emphasized self-care: "Get some therapy sessions in. Get some gym sessions in. You're in for a ride."
Nic's time on the show has led to brand deals, including work with CELSIUS on their new ELECTRIC VIBE flavor. He said, "I wake up every morning feeling electric." He's also hoping for a call from ABC for Dancing With the Stars, after fellow alum Maura Higgins joined season 35. "I'm answering yes, yes!" he added.
