Madonna is seeking the public's help to recover several vintage costume pieces that vanished after her surprise Coachella performance last weekend. The music legend has announced a reward for the safe return of the outfit she wore during her guest appearance with Sabrina Carpenter.
"These aren't just clothes, they are part of my history," Madonna wrote in an Instagram post, appealing to anyone who might have found the missing items.
The missing ensemble includes a purple jacket, corset, and dress that hold special significance for the singer. Madonna revealed she wore the same boots, corset, and jacket during her Coachella performance two decades ago, making their disappearance particularly poignant.
"It's like a full-circle moment, very meaningful for me," she told the crowd during her appearance with Carpenter, who looked on adoringly.
According to local authorities, the clothing was last seen on a golf cart at the festival grounds around 1:30 AM local time on Saturday. The Indio Police Department told entertainment outlet TMZ there's "no evidence to suggest the bags were intentionally stolen," speculating they may have fallen off the cart while being transported to a bus.
In addition to the Coachella outfit, Madonna reported that several other items from her personal archive "from the same era" have also gone missing.
During the memorable performance, Madonna and Carpenter delivered duets of "Vogue" and "Like A Prayer." The pop icon also debuted a track from her upcoming album "Confessions II," a sequel to her 2005 release "Confessions On A Dancefloor," scheduled for July release.
Madonna concluded her Instagram appeal with a hopeful message: "I'm hoping and praying that some kind soul will find these items and reach out to my team."
