Madonna is appealing to the public for help after her vintage performance wardrobe disappeared following a surprise Coachella appearance with headliner Sabrina Carpenter.
In an Instagram Story posted on April 20, the pop icon revealed that multiple archival pieces she wore during the April 17 performance have gone missing. "Still flying high since Friday night at Coachella," Madonna wrote. "This full circle moment hit different until I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing—my costume that was pulled from my personal archives—jacket, corset, dress and all other garments."
"These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history. Other archival items from the same era went missing as well."
The 67-year-old singer, who last performed at the California music festival two decades ago, emphasized the sentimental value of the missing items and announced she's offering a reward for their safe return. "I’m hoping and praying that some kind soul will find these items," she continued, "and reach out to my team."
Despite the wardrobe mishap, Madonna expressed gratitude for the experience, calling her return to Coachella "such a thrill!" She performed alongside Carpenter during the festival's second weekend, which also featured headliners Justin Bieber and Karol G.
Sabrina Carpenter shared her own excitement about the collaboration, posting on Instagram: "Madonna...I’ve got something i wanna talk about! Thank you for coming out, bringing your love, and gracing the audience with everything you are + astrology knowledge + the greatest songs of all time." The 26-year-old singer described their duet of "Like a Prayer" as a "dream" and a "privilege I’ll never forget."
