Magic Stifle Pistons Down the Stretch to Claim 3-1 Series Lead

The Orlando Magic clamped down on defense in the final minutes to secure a critical road victory over the Detroit Pistons, taking a commanding 3-1 lead in their NBA playoff series.

With the game hanging in the balance late in the fourth quarter, the Magic forced consecutive turnovers and held the Pistons scoreless for the last two minutes, turning a one-point deficit into a five-point win.

"Our guys showed tremendous poise," said Magic coach Jamahl Mosley. "We talked about how every possession matters in the playoffs, and they executed perfectly when it counted most."

Orlando was led by Paolo Banchero's 28 points and 10 rebounds, while Franz Wagner added 24 points and seven assists. The Pistons, who were without injured guard Cade Cunningham, struggled offensively down the stretch, shooting just 38% from the field in the fourth quarter.

Detroit's Jaden Ivey finished with a team-high 26 points, but it wasn't enough as the Pistons now face elimination in Game 5 back in Orlando. The Magic will look to close out the series on their home floor, where they've been dominant all season.
