Drew Dodson is speaking out after being accused of a romantic encounter with Allie Eklund, the girlfriend of Steven McBee Jr. In an Instagram Story, Dodson denied the allegations, stating he was simply with friends at the Stagecoach festival.
"I was at Stagecoach with a big group of friends, including someone I've known for years," he wrote. "I was enjoying the night like everyone else." Dodson claimed the situation spiraled when it "took on a life of its own" online, leading to public accusations without any attempt to understand what actually happened.
He emphasized, "The reality is simple: I was there with friends, nothing more," and expressed a desire to clear the air and move on.
The controversy began when Steven McBee Jr. publicly ended his relationship with Allie Eklund, alleging that after leaving Stagecoach early, he received messages, calls, and video showing her getting close with another man, later identified as Dodson. McBee claimed there was "handholding, grinding, dancing" at an afterparty, though he admitted uncertainty about the details.
Eklund has denied cheating, stating she was hurt that McBee went public before discussing the matter privately. She said she initially held back due to his emotional reactions but felt compelled to respond after his public statements. She has called for de-escalation and a clean break.
