Pokémon is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a groundbreaking fusion of gaming and music, announcing two exclusive EDM concerts headlined by superstar DJ Marshmello.
In a press release, The Pokémon Company revealed that Marshmello will be joined by fellow electronic artist Alison Wonderland for "Pokémon Night Out" events in London and Los Angeles this fall. These concerts mark the first time the iconic franchise has hosted dedicated electronic dance music performances as part of its anniversary celebrations.
"The worlds of Pokémon and electronic dance music collide in a once-in-a-lifetime experience designed for fans who grew up loving Pokémon," stated the official announcement. "The Pokémon Night Out celebration is the first of its kind: an unforgettable concert with performances by top EDM artists, along with a dazzling show filled with cutting-edge technology and animation."
The concerts are scheduled for October 24 at the Intuit Dome in California and November 10 at London's O2 Arena. These events are part of Pokémon's broader 30th anniversary programming, which includes both family-friendly "Day Out" activities and these special "Night Out" experiences aimed at longtime fans.
The announcement follows February's initial reveal that Pokémon would host a series of global events throughout 2026 to commemorate three decades since the franchise's debut. The EDM concerts represent a significant expansion of Pokémon's live entertainment offerings, blending the franchise's beloved characters and visuals with contemporary electronic music performances.
