A fire broke out in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City, affecting at least 20 houses, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). The blaze, which started on Tuesday morning, quickly spread through the densely populated residential area due to the lightweight construction of the houses.
Firefighters struggled to contain the flames because of narrow streets, but the fire was declared under control after several hours. No casualties were reported, but many families were displaced.
The BFP is investigating the cause of the fire, which may have originated from an electrical short circuit.
