Maura Higgins isn't lacing up her dance shoes just yet. The Traitors alum has revealed a surprisingly low-key preparation method for her upcoming stint on Dancing With the Stars season 35.

"I'm not prepping," Maura exclusively told E! News at the Time 100 Most Influential Gala. "People say you're better being a blank canvas. If I try to go into dancing, maybe I'll pick up bad habits that they have to unteach me. I think I'm better off being a blank canvas so they can work on that."

While she's taking a hands-off approach to practice, Maura went all-in on manifesting her DWTS casting. She shared a personal ritual: "I have a vision board and I redo it every year. This year, I stayed home alone on New Year's Eve, made pasta and red wine, and redid my vision board. Dancing With the Stars was already on it from the year before, but I added five more Dancing With the Stars on the board."

The universe delivered. Despite her strong desire, Maura was still "shocked" when she got the call. "I shed a tear, which I don't normally do," she admitted. "I never really get overly excited unless it's something I've been wanting for a long time, and Dancing With the Stars is that. I manifested it."

As for rumors that her Traitors co-star Rob Rausch might also join the competition, Maura welcomed the idea. "I just love Rob," she said. "I know it would be so fun, but I also would like to beat him."
