Megan Thee Stallion Cuts Short Broadway Run After Health Scare and Breakup

Megan Thee Stallion has announced she is leaving the cast of Moulin Rouge! The Musical earlier than planned, following a recent hospitalization and a personal split.

The rapper, who made her Broadway debut as Zidler—a role traditionally played by a male actor—was originally scheduled to perform through May 17. However, after being hospitalized earlier this month due to what she described as "extreme exhaustion and dehydration," she will now give her final performance on Friday, May 1.

In a statement, Megan said her health scare was a wake-up call. "Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn’t," she shared.

Her early exit also comes amid reports of a breakup, though she has not publicly commented on the matter. Fans have expressed support for her decision to prioritize her well-being.
