Christopher Meloni has given Jalen Brunson his seal of approval to appear on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." The Knicks star recently expressed interest in a guest role on the long-running crime drama, and Meloni — who plays Detective Elliot Stabler — is fully on board.
TMZ Sports caught up with Meloni in New York City shortly after the Knicks' championship victory. When asked about Brunson's acting ambitions, Meloni responded with an enthusiastic "Absolutely!!!"
Meloni acknowledged that after leading the Knicks to their first NBA title in 53 years, Brunson has earned the right to pursue whatever he wants — including a spot on SVU. The actor also noted Brunson's close friendship with co-star Mariska Hargitay, a die-hard Knicks fan, making a "Benson and Brunson" collaboration seem inevitable.
