Michael Beasley is telling everyone to relax about the heated confrontation between Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro in Las Vegas, insisting that teammates getting into it is nothing new.
The former No. 2 overall pick spoke with TMZ Sports at LAX on Monday, brushing off concerns about the altercation. "Brothers wrestle all the time. Sometimes it goes too far," Beasley said. When asked if throwing punches crosses a line, he replied, "Brothers play too rough sometimes. That's all."
The incident occurred Friday on a basketball court inside Resorts World Casino in Las Vegas. Reports say Adebayo confronted Herro over comments the guard allegedly made about Bam following the blockbuster trade that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami. The two were quickly separated, and no injuries were reported.
Beasley, who played for the Heat from 2010 to 2012, downplayed the drama, emphasizing the bond between teammates. "They're brothers. It's just basketball," he added.
