The upcoming biopic Michael has divided the Jackson family, with daughter Paris Jackson publicly questioning the project while other relatives have offered support. The film, starring the King of Pop's nephew Jaafar Jackson, hits theaters April 24.

Director Antoine Fuqua initially planned to include the 1993 police raid on Neverland Ranch, but the estate could not participate in scenes depicting the child molestation allegations due to a settlement. The movie now ends in 1988 with Jackson's Wembley Stadium performance.

Paris Jackson, currently in a legal dispute with the estate over finances, has questioned why the film was made in a way that prevented tackling difficult subjects. The estate fired back, stating Paris "has a complete lack of understanding about how the motion picture industry works" and noting she has already received roughly $65 million in benefits.

Janet Jackson has not publicly commented on the film. Other family members, including brother Tito, have expressed pride in Jaafar's performance. The estate maintains the movie celebrates Jackson's musical legacy without delving into controversies.
