Microsoft has begun rolling out its new Xbox mode to all Windows 11 PCs, bringing a console-like full-screen interface to the Xbox PC app. Previously available only on Asus’ Xbox Ally devices as the Xbox Full Screen Experience (FSE), the feature is now expanding to a wider audience.
“Some players in select markets will be able to download the Xbox mode experience today, with availability expanding to more players in those markets over the next several weeks,” the Xbox team announced. Users can access Xbox mode by installing the latest Windows 11 update.
The mode is designed to bridge the gap between Windows and Xbox consoles, offering a streamlined gaming interface similar to Steam’s Big Picture Mode. It aims to provide a more cohesive experience for PC gamers who want a controller-friendly, TV-friendly interface.
