The annual Balloons over Mildura festival has officially begun, with a spectacular display of hot air balloons painting the sky over regional Victoria.
More than 20 colourful balloons took part in the Night Glow 2026 event on Saturday evening, marking the grand launch of the festival. Spectators gathered to watch as the balloons lit up the night, creating a breathtaking scene against the darkening sky.
The festival, which runs for several days, features a series of balloon flights and events that attract visitors from across the country. Photographers and balloon enthusiasts captured stunning images of the balloons drifting over the Murray River and the surrounding landscape.
Organizers have promised a week filled with family-friendly activities, including dawn mass ascents and special shape balloon displays. The weather forecast looks favorable for the rest of the festival, ensuring plenty of opportunities for more breathtaking photographs.
