Mistral AI has introduced Workflows, an orchestration layer designed to help businesses convert AI-driven processes into production-ready systems. Now available in public preview, the tool is already being used by companies including ASML, ABANCA, CMA-CGM, France Travail, La Banque Postale, and Moeve for critical operations.
Workflows is part of the Mistral Studio platform, allowing developers to build processes in Python. Each step is logged in Studio, and employees can trigger workflows through the Le Chat chatbot. A single line of code can pause a workflow for human approval, which is useful for tasks like freight releases or verifying customer data and specifications.
The system runs on the Temporal engine, the same technology used by Netflix, Stripe, and Salesforce. Mistral handles orchestration while data processing remains within the customer's environment.
This launch caps a busy period for Mistral, which previously introduced an Agents API for coordinating multiple AI agents and released the open-weight Mistral Small 4 model. The company also secured an $830 million loan for a new data center near Paris.
