Mistral has launched remote coding agents in its Vibe platform, powered by the new Mistral Medium 3.5 model—a 128B dense model designed for coding, reasoning, and instruction following in a single pass. Developers can initiate a task from the command line or Le Chat, then step away as the agent handles coding, editing, and even opening GitHub pull requests entirely in the cloud.
The new Work mode in Le Chat extends capabilities further, enabling multi-step research, analysis, and tool orchestration. This marks a shift where AI no longer waits for the user; instead, the user waits for the AI to complete complex tasks autonomously.
