A routine unloading at the University of Illinois’ College of Veterinary Medicine turned into a campus-wide adventure on Wednesday when a cow escaped from its trailer and took a self-guided tour of the grounds.
According to TODAY, the wayward bovine made a break for it while being unloaded, prompting a brief but spirited chase by university officials. The cow was eventually cornered and safely returned to the trailer without injury.
The incident drew amused attention from students and staff, many of whom captured the escape on video. The cow’s impromptu exploration was short-lived, but it provided a memorable break from the usual campus routine.
