Mostafa Salameh, a seasoned mountaineer, has undertaken a poignant mission to deliver letters from children in Gaza to the summit of Mount Everest. The climb, which began in April, aims to draw attention to the plight of Palestinian children affected by conflict. Salameh, who has previously climbed the world's highest peak, is carrying the handwritten messages in a waterproof container. The letters express hopes for peace and a better future. Speaking from base camp, Salameh said, "This is for the children, to let them know their voices are heard, even from the top of the world." The expedition is expected to take several weeks, with the summit attempt planned for later this month.
