MSI has officially announced the Claw 8 AI+, the latest iteration of its gaming handheld, designed to compete in the portable PC gaming market. The device features an 8-inch display, upgraded processors, and enhanced ergonomics.
Key upgrades include Intel's next-generation Core Ultra processors with AI capabilities, promising better performance and power efficiency for on-the-go gaming. The handheld also supports Intel XeSS upscaling technology to improve frame rates in demanding titles.
The Claw 8 AI+ retains the familiar design language of its predecessor but boasts a larger screen and refined controls. It runs Windows 11, providing access to a vast library of PC games via Steam, Xbox Game Pass, and other platforms.
Battery life has been improved, and the device includes faster LPDDR5X RAM and NVMe storage for quicker load times. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Pricing and release dates have not yet been announced, but MSI plans to showcase the Claw 8 AI+ at upcoming trade shows.
