Mystikal's Son Speaks Out: 'I Hope Dad Gets the Help He Needs' After 20-Year Sentence

Mystikal's son, Million Tyler, says he is hoping for the best for his father following the rapper's 20-year prison sentence for rape — even though he is not yet ready to visit him behind bars.

In an exclusive interview with TMZ, Tyler spoke just days after Mystikal was sentenced after pleading guilty to raping a woman. He described the past week as emotional for him and his family.

"There are no winners when things like this happen," Tyler said, expressing sympathy for both the unnamed victim and his father. He revealed that he sat in the courtroom and listened to the victim describe the physical abuse and rape, calling it a difficult experience.

Tyler, who is starting his own music career, admitted the turmoil has made it hard to create. He has been focusing on managing his emotions. While he wants to have a conversation with his father in the future, he cannot say when he will be ready. For now, his message to Mystikal is clear: "I hope you get the help you need. I really hope you do."

Mystikal, born Michael Tyler, was sentenced earlier this month after pleading guilty to the assault that occurred years ago.
