The video, made public on May 1, 2026, captures suspect Cole Allen allegedly casing the Washington Hilton hotel a day before the attack.
According to prosecutors, the footage shows Allen moving through the hotel, studying security measures and entry points. Additional evidence photos released by the DOJ reveal bags of ammunition, a gas mask, and protective gear found in Allen's hotel room.
The release of the video comes as the investigation into the assassination attempt continues. Allen faces multiple charges in connection with the incident, which occurred during the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner. Authorities have not yet disclosed a motive.
