Nick Reiner is set to appear in a Los Angeles courtroom Wednesday morning for a preliminary hearing in the double-murder case of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner.
The hearing is scheduled for 8:30 AM at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, where prosecutors will present evidence to determine if there is enough cause to proceed to trial.
Nick, who has pleaded not guilty, faces two counts of murder with a special circumstances allegation that could lead to the death penalty if convicted. His parents were found brutally stabbed to death in their Brentwood home in December.
Initially represented by high-profile attorney Alan Jackson, Nick is now represented by public defender Kimberly Greene after Jackson withdrew from the case in January.
Nick remains held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles.
