No Doubt's Tom Dumont Opens Up About Parkinson's Battle, Vows to Keep Rocking

Tom Dumont, the longtime guitarist for the iconic band No Doubt, has revealed he is living with Parkinson's disease. The musician shared his diagnosis in a heartfelt Instagram video over the weekend, explaining he received the news "a number of years ago" after extensive neurological testing.

At 58, Dumont acknowledged the daily challenges of the condition but delivered an uplifting message to fans. "It's been a struggle every day," he said, "but I'm doing well and I'm not slowing down."

In fact, the guitarist emphasized that his musical passion remains undimmed. He confirmed he can still play and plans to perform with No Doubt during their upcoming Las Vegas residency at the Sphere, which begins on May 6.

Dumont explained his decision to go public was inspired by others who have shared their health journeys. He hopes his openness will help raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding Parkinson's disease. Reflecting on his career as he prepares for the residency, Dumont expressed profound gratitude for the life music has given him.

His bandmates swiftly offered their support. Drummer Adrian Young hailed him as a "hero," while bassist Tony Kanal shared messages of love and solidarity.

Dumont's revelation adds his name to a growing list of public figures who are speaking openly about their health while continuing to pursue their passions.
