The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has suspended the number coding scheme on June 12, 2026, in observance of Independence Day.
In a memorandum, the MMDA said that the suspension covers all vehicles in the National Capital Region. The agency reminded motorists to expect heavier traffic and to plan their trips accordingly.
The number coding scheme will resume on the next regular working day.
