Former U.S. President Barack Obama and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani joined forces for a heartwarming musical session with preschoolers at a Bronx child care center on Saturday. The unlikely duo led the children in a rendition of the classic nursery rhyme "Wheels on the Bus," while the youngsters introduced them to "Soda Pop," a catchy tune from the popular K-pop film Demon Hunters.
"You made the mayor feel really old," Obama quipped as the room erupted in laughter.
In a social media post reflecting on the visit, Mamdani highlighted the deeper purpose behind the cheerful gathering. "Between singing 'Wheels on the Bus,' we discussed our administration's vision for this city—one where New York's youngest residents get the strongest possible start in life," he wrote.
The event marked the first meeting between the former president and the city's mayor, blending lighthearted fun with a shared commitment to early childhood education and community investment.
