Rapper Offset is brushing off a recent brush with death, comparing himself to the Energizer Bunny as he gets back to work after being shot.
In an interview on the "Creators Inc. Podcast" with Andy Bachman, the Migos star discussed the shooting incident that occurred earlier this month in Florida. Despite the traumatic event, Offset said he felt no hesitation about returning to his normal routine.
"I just gotta keep pushing," Offset explained. "I'm like the Energizer Bunny — I keep going and going."
The rapper, who recently performed his first concert since the shooting — even taking the stage in a wheelchair for part of the show — said the experience didn't slow him down. He credited his resilience to his mindset and drive.
Offset's comments come after TMZ broke the news of the shooting earlier this month. The rapper has since been seen back in the studio and on stage, showing no signs of letting the incident derail his career.
"I had to keep pushing after being shot," Offset said. "That's just how I am."
