Offset Shares Grateful Message Following Hospital Release After Casino Shooting

Offset has broken his silence after being released from the hospital following a shooting incident in Florida earlier this month.

The Migos rapper, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was shot outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida on April 6. According to police reports, he sustained non-life threatening injuries in the incident.

In his first public statement since the shooting, Offset posted to Instagram on April 10 expressing gratitude to his supporters.

"Thank you to everyone who's checked in on me and shown me love!" the rapper wrote. "I'm good...but I'm planning to be better! I'm focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music...realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses. Life's a gamble and I'm still playing to win."

A spokesperson for the 34-year-old artist confirmed to media outlets that Offset had been released from the hospital and "is up and walking." The representative added appreciation for the medical staff who cared for him during his hospitalization.

Police responded immediately to the shooting scene and quickly contained the situation. According to the Seminole Police Department, rapper Lil Tjay (real name Tione Merritt) was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct—affray, a first-degree misdemeanor under Florida law. Jail records show he was also charged with operating a vehicle without a valid license.

However, Lil Tjay's attorney has denied her client's involvement in the shooting incident, stating on social media that "Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting."

Offset is father to seven children, including three with ex-wife Cardi B: Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 19 months. The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing as police work to identify any additional individuals involved.
