Rapper Offset, whose legal name is Kiari Cephus, had an arrest warrant recalled just weeks before he was shot outside a Florida casino, according to exclusive court documents.
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge officially recalled the warrant on February 26. The warrant had been issued in late January after Offset failed to appear for an arraignment related to a misdemeanor simple battery charge, with bail set at $20,000. He later appeared in court with legal representation and entered a plea of not guilty.
The battery charge stems from an alleged incident in March 2025 at a cannabis dispensary in Los Angeles, for which Offset was formally charged in December of that year.
In a separate and more recent development, Offset was shot earlier this week outside the Hard Rock Casino in Florida. He has since been treated and released from the hospital. The timing of the warrant's dismissal and the subsequent shooting has drawn attention, though no direct connection between the two events has been established.
