Olympic pommel horse medalist Stephen Nedoroscik and his longtime girlfriend Tess McCracken have ended their relationship after nearly ten years together, McCracken confirmed in a recent social media announcement.

In a TikTok video posted on April 4, McCracken, 28, addressed mounting online speculation about their status, stating, "Stephen and I are no longer together, and we haven't been since the beginning of January." She explained that she had delayed making a formal statement but felt compelled to address the rumors after noticing increased comments on her social media posts and discussions on platforms like Reddit.

"[My] social media has been cleaned out," she said. "I can't post anything now without getting at least a few comments and I know there have been multiple Reddit threads. And so, I feel like it's just easier to have it out in the open and not really have to hide it anymore."

The couple's relationship began during their freshman year at Penn State University in 2016, where both were collegiate gymnasts. While McCracken pursued other paths, Nedoroscik, 27, rose to prominence in gymnastics, capturing national attention with his performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he earned two bronze medals on the pommel horse.

Reflecting on their split, McCracken described it as a natural progression rather than a dramatic fallout.

"There was no drama. It was really just time, and that sucks a lot. There's really no other way to put it. We were together for almost 10 years. We met and got together when we were 17 and 18, and we're now 27 and 28. As it turns out, there are things that didn't matter at 18 that matter when you're in your later 20s."

Practical considerations also influenced the timing of their separation. Their lease was set to expire in mid-January, making it a logical point to part ways. McCracken revealed she retained primary custody of their cat, noting, "I already handled a lot of his care, and Stephen is allergic to cats. It just worked out that way."

Now several months into her new chapter, McCracken shared that she and her pet are "doing well" as she adjusts to life in a new apartment.

"I'm really just getting back into things that I want to do and just rediscovering what those things are. I'm trying to come to terms with who I am and what I enjoy doing when there's not someone else to consider."

Despite the end of their romantic relationship, McCracken emphasized there is "no bad blood" between them.

"I want to see him succeed in everything, but the way that support is coming has to be different now."

The announcement closes a significant chapter for both individuals, who grew from teenagers to adults during their nearly decade-long partnership.
