Palhinha Strikes Late as Tottenham End 118-Day Premier League Win Drought

Joao Palhinha's 83rd-minute header secured a crucial 1-0 victory for Tottenham at Wolves, ending a 118-day wait for a Premier League win and keeping their survival hopes alive.

Spurs' first league win since December 28 moved them to within two points of safety, but they remain 18th after West Ham's stoppage-time winner against Everton kept them above the drop zone.

Manager Roberto De Zerbi acknowledged the importance of the result. "I hope this can change something in our heads," he said. "We have to be positive and confident."

Tottenham had been nervy in the first half, with safe passing betraying their lack of confidence after eight defeats in 11 games across all competitions. But they improved after the break, and Antonin Kinsky's fine save from Matheus Cunha kept them level before Palhinha's moment of relief.

"The players know what they can do," De Zerbi added. "We need to focus on ourselves, not other results."

With four games remaining, Tottenham's top-flight status—held for nearly 50 years—hangs in the balance.
