Paul McCartney has defended the lyrics to his song ‘Momma Gets By’, stating that the track is a tribute to resilient women everywhere. The Beatles legend made the remarks during an onstage conversation with comedian Rob Brydon at London’s Roundhouse, where he also celebrated his chart-topping album ‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’.
McCartney explained that the song reflects the strength he has observed in women throughout his life. “There’s a lot of strong women out there,” he said, addressing any criticism head-on. The intimate event also saw McCartney pay homage to the late filmmaker Rob Reiner, highlighting the evening’s blend of music and personal reflection.
