Peter Gabriel Unleashes Anthem of Resistance 'Won't Stand Down' to Inspire Activism

Peter Gabriel has released a stirring new single, 'Won't Stand Down', which he describes as a call to action. The track, part of his upcoming album 'O\I', blends ethereal verses with a euphoric chorus, delivering a message of hope and determination.

"A million mothers looking forward / They're all looking out ahead / In the haze they can make out a planet / Alive, or was it dead?"

The song builds into the defiant refrain: "We won't stand down / Until there's something better showing on the ground."

'Won't Stand Down' arrives alongside a 'Dark-Side Mix' due later this month. It follows previous singles from 'O\I', including 'Been Undone', 'Put the Bucket Down', 'What Lies Ahead', and 'Till Your Mind Is Shining'. Each track on the album receives both 'Bright-Side' and 'Dark-Side' mixes, released in alignment with lunar phases.

Gabriel, known for his human rights activism, crafted 'O\I' as a companion to his 2023 album 'I/O'. The new single reflects his ongoing commitment to using music as a tool for social change.
