TNT Tropang Giga survived a fierce Meralco Bolts rally, thanks to a game-winning three-pointer from RR Pogoy in the closing seconds, taking a 2-1 lead in their PBA semifinals series.
Pogoy, known for his sharpshooting, delivered under pressure as he drained a deep triple with 2.1 seconds left, breaking a 98-98 deadlock and sealing a 101-98 victory for TNT. The Bolts had a chance to force overtime but missed a desperation heave at the buzzer.
The game was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading leads throughout the fourth quarter. Meralco's Chris Newsome and Allein Maliksi kept the Bolts within striking distance, but it was Pogoy's heroics that ultimately decided the outcome.
TNT now holds a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-seven series, with Game 4 set for Saturday.
