Prosecutors Set to Charge D4vd Monday in Celeste Rivas Homicide Case After Police Pressure

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office will file criminal charges against singer D4vd on Monday, following his dramatic arrest in connection with the death of Celeste Rivas, according to sources familiar with the investigation.

Monday marks the legal deadline for prosecutors to either formally charge D4vd or release him from custody. Sources indicate they will proceed with charges after the Los Angeles Police Department reportedly pressured the District Attorney's office to take action.

"The LAPD was frustrated at the L.A. County D.A. for not filing murder charges against singer D4vd for the death of Celeste Rivas ... so they literally took the law into their own hands," sources connected to the case revealed.

D4vd was arrested Thursday in what witnesses described as a massive police operation. Prominent defense attorney Mark Geragos commented on the situation, suggesting police made the arrest to force prosecutors' hand after growing impatient with the pace of the investigation.

The case has been under review by the District Attorney for months. A grand jury was convened back in November, and it has been more than seven months since police discovered Rivas's decomposing body in the trunk of D4vd's Tesla.

A key development came when the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner officially ruled Rivas's death a homicide. Law enforcement sources indicated this determination was a crucial factor in the escalating pressure to bring charges.
