Uncapped Rangers forward Laura Berry, 18, and midfielder Mia McAulay, 19, have been called up to the Scotland women's national team for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Israel. The pair replace Como defender Sophie Howard and Newcastle striker Freya Gregory, who withdrew from the squad.
Both players featured in Rangers' Women's Scottish Cup final defeat to Celtic on Sunday. The call-up offers a boost for McAulay, who already has four caps, and Berry, who could make her debut before turning 19 on June 11.
Scotland face Israel in Budapest on Friday and again on June 9, as they aim to top Group B4. They currently lead on goal difference from Belgium, who face Luxembourg. The group winners earn promotion to League A for the next Nations League, while the top three advance to the play-offs for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.
